Somerville to Portland, Maine

This epic ride starts in Somerville and ends up in Portland, Maine at the Bissell Brothers brewery. Take Amtrak’s Downeaster train back to Boston — just be sure to buy a bike ticket in advance!

Highlights include:

• Riding by the Mystic Lakes and Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield
• Rolling through the paved road in Harold Parker State Forest in Andover
• A lunch stop in Dover, NH (which also has a bike shop and an Amtrak station in case you have to bail)
• Some cool smooth gravel paths as you approach Portland
• Riding in three different states in one day
